Cycle input compatibility
At version AH of this software, some cycle inputs changed to enable reporting and fix historical input differences between our non-contact and contact tool setting packages.
Current standard
Cycles use inputs introduced at version AH, refer to the readme for a explanation of the changes.
New functions available:
- Off-centre long tool / short tool approach method
- Accurate calibration of the underside of the stylus for higher accuracy when measuring the upper edge of a tool (O9857 B4).
- Measure / check / control tolerancing options.
- Separate length and radius tolerancing option.
- Reporter functionality.
Backward compatible
Cycles use historic inputs (version AG and below). For those customers with pre-existing programs who wish to remain with the old style inputs. A different programming manual is provided for this situation.
Note: The new functions listed above are not available if 'Backward compatible' is selected.
When using the cycles, ensure the relevant cycle inputs are used, failure to observe this, could cause damage to your machine or equipment.
Set and Inspect
Both current and backwards compatibility options are available in Set and Inspect, but you must ensure the Cycle Input Compatibility option has been set correctly.
Failure to observe this could cause damage to your machine or equipment.
